Alykes is a seaside village at the north-east part of Zakynthos island in Greece. The name of the village in Greek, means salt works and that's because of the salt works that operated here from 1500 AC until 1986. Alykes was a nice and quiet fishing and farming village with just a few tourists mainly back-packers before the 70's. After 1984 when charter flights started coming in, Alykes became a bit busier and rather popular destination for holiday makers that are looking for a nice, relaxing family holiday resort. Because it is not very spoilt yet, it is still one of the best areas to go for a holiday.
Our apartments are situated where our bar "Alykes Bar" used to be. At the center of Alykes and only 100 meters away from the beach with the clearest sea in the Ionian and about 50 meters from the center of Alykes with all the shops, bars, restaurants etc. It is only 3 minutes walk from our family Beach restaurant, the famous Costa's, with sunbeds, umbrellas, nice food, cocktails etc.
